Coming off their best season in 10 years of NASCAR racing, Furniture Row Racing will start the 2016 season with a manufacture change.
Toyota has replaced Chevrolet as the manufacturer of choice. A technical alliance with Joe Gibbs Racing allows access to better technical info. Bass Pro Shop has come on board to sponsor 9 races starting this weekend for the Sprint Unlimited and other races throughout the season.
The ride started 21 years ago because a group wanted to ride from California back to North Carolina. They knew they couldn’t take a week off work so they decided to make is for Charity stopping at Children’s hospitals along the way. That lasted for 5 years and now the money goes to Victory Junction Camp with stops still at children’s hospitals to tell the people about the camp. Children attend camp for free so this is one of the ways to fund the camp.
