Chase Elliott Wins His First Cup Race at Watkins Glen

I think a lot of people have been wondering just when Chase Elliott would get his first win, but Watkins Glen was not at the top of the tracks you would think of. And especially not this weekend with the likes of Kyle Busch, Martin Truex, Jr. and Kevin Harvick being so strong on road courses. Watkins Glen is a more technical track than Sonoma so you would think that a more experienced driver would rule the day. And that very nearly happened.

Enjoy the (NASCAR Racing) Season. Please.

I recently read a post on TDN.com from a respected writer about the state of NASCAR and what it could do to improve ratings and fan engagement. While I agree with some of its points, it had some discrepancies that bothered me. First of all, the writer said that one of the problems was that three drivers had combined to win 16 of 21 races. Later on, the same writer claimed that the battle between the top three drivers should be something to celebrate.

At Pocono, Kyle Busch ties Kevin Harvick at Six 2018 Wins

What can you say about Kyle Busch? He goes out and wins the truck race and then follows up with a strong performance in the Cup race. If it had been possible for him to race and win the Xfinity race in Iowa, I am sure he would have gone out and done that too.
