NASCAR Hall of Famer, World War II Hero Was 92 DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Nov. 28, 2017) – Walter “Bud” Moore Jr., a decorated member of America’s “Greatest Generation” who went on to win NASCAR championships as car owner and crew chief, has died at the age of 92.
