Carl Edwards Is “Singing in the (Texas) Rain”

Clean air was all it took for Carl Edwards to stretch out his lead and turn it into a win on Sunday night. After a 5 hour rain delay and over 30 minutes of the cars running at caution speed to help dry the track, Edwards handily won the rain-shortened race. Had the race stayed green, there was little doubt about the outcome. Joey Logano led a race high 178 laps and ultimately finished 2nd, but he did not have the speed Edwards had when it counted most.
