Dale Earnhardt Jr. Grabs a Grandfather Clock at Martinsville

Dale Earnhardt, Jr. spoiled the Chase party with an emotional victory at Martinsville. Starting 23rd, Earnhardt moved to the front and challenged teammate Jeff Gordon for the lead over the closing laps of the race. Gordon finished 2nd and now leads the rest of the Chase drivers as the Cup series heads to Texas. Earnhardt’s win turned the Chase on its head. A Johnson win would certainly ruin the party for Brian France.
