Ryan Nips LaDuc for Vermont 200 Qualifier Win at Devils Bowl Speedway
WEST HAVEN, Vt. – Jimmy Ryan had gone two years without winning a Sportsman Modified race at Devil’s Bowl Speedway until he scored on July 31. The next win took just four weeks, but that’s only part of the story. The Shoreham, Vt., veteran’s win was the highlight of The Stove Depot Night on Saturday, August 28, and Troy Audet, Chris Murray, Austin McKirryher, Willie Rice, Kamden Duffy, and Cody Greene also visited the winner’s circle.

No problem for Soper who made enough lemonade after being handed lemons for the entire pit area to quench their thirst with as he drove from last to first for his fourth victory in the last seven starts.

Joey Logano led a race-best 37 of the 165 laps Saturday night at Daytona International Speedway, and those laps out front included a Stage 2 victory and the lead with seven laps remaining in regulation. The driver of the No. 22 Team Penske Ford was feeling good about his chances of capturing his second victory of 2021 and second at the 2.5-mile track in Daytona Beach, Florida. But then Logano wound up 23rd at the checkered flag in overtime.

After seeing superspeedway cars get airborne this year, NASCAR changed the race package for Daytona which provided tight pack racing – which fans may like, but drivers not so much.
