Cole Custer won the Xfinity street race in Chicago …
… with Westport, CT’s Parker Kligerman crossing the finish line in ninth with Boston’s Kaz Grala taking tenth. Kyle Weatherman ended up 14th with Blaine Perkins finishing 17th while Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT ended his day in 27th. Weatherman and Perkins both steer team cars for Cape Cod’s Chris and Mary Our from Harwich, MA.
New Zealand’s Shane Van Gisbergin won the Cup race with Middletown, CT’s Joey Logano taking eighth place. Corey LaJoie was 14th and Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT was next in 15th. LaJoie is the son of two-time Xfinity Champion Randy LaJoie who grew up in Norwalk, CT
