Outlaw Open Modified Series To Headline Mid-Week Racing Action at Thompson Speedway This Wednesday
THOMPSON, Conn. – For the first time since April, Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park will roar back to life on Wednesday night for a mid-week special on June 15. Headlined by the $5,000 to win Outlaw Open Modified Series Nutmeg State 75 presented by Twisted Tea, the night includes six divisions of racing, with some of the top drivers from across the region headed back to Connecticut.

West Haven, VT – The great crate place treated a packed house with twin 20’s for the Sunoco Sportsman Modifieds at Devil’s Bowl Speedway. Jimmy Davis made his return to victory lane winning the first event, while Don Mattison earned the second twin win. Hunter Nutter (Limited Sportsman), Steve Miller (Rookie Sportsman), Lane Saville (500cc Mini Sprint), Chris Sumner (Mini Stock), and Chris Murray (Super Stock) also earned victories this past Saturday night. The 2022 season at Wiscasset Speedway rolled on this past Saturday with a full Group #2 program. The lineup included the 88.5FM Modifieds, Kennebec Equipment Rental Outlaw Minis, Wood Pellet Warehouse Late Models, T&L Automotive Roadrunners and the Portland Glass Strictly Streets.
Close Finishes and Screaming Speeds Highlight Thunder Road Weekly Opener
Barre, VT — Friday’s 5-division card at Thunder Road opened the weekly racing series at the Barre, Vermont oval. The racing was some of the best seen at the storied highbanks this season with razor thin finishes and the fastest speeds ever witnessed at the 63-year-old speedbowl. In the end, it was Derrick Calkins who started his quest for the Myers Container Service Triple Crown on strong footing and New England ace Jon McKennedy who stole the debut show of the New England Supermodified Series. Woody Pitkat Wins Bud Light 80 At Stafford Speedway
(Stafford Springs, CT)—Open Modified cars returned to Stafford Motor Speedway for their third of five visits of the 2022 season on Friday, June 10th for the Bud Light Open 80. Woody Pitkat led the final 13 laps to come home the winner after Ronnie Williams and Ronnie Silk made contact while racing for the lead and had to restart from the rear of the field. (more…)
