(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted its first Friday night race of the 2022 season with a Kids Night / Weekly Series program on Friday, May 13^th. David Arute notched the SK Modified® feature victory, his second win in the last 3 races dating to the NAPA Fall Final last season; Kevin Gambacorta locked down the Late Model feature win, Tyler Chapman won the SK Light feature, Rich Hammann notched the Limited Late Model win, and Bobby Stirk, III was a first-time winner in the Street Stock feature. Maybury Material Handling Renews Stafford Speedway 1st Place Contingency Program Bonus

(Stafford Springs, CT)—For the 7^th consecutive season, Maybury Material Handling of East Longmeadow, MA, will be a first place contingency program partner at Stafford Motor Speedway. Maybury will present a bonus of $150 to each SK Modified® winner and a $150 bonus to each SK Light feature winner. Maybury’s bonus money pushes the first place winner’s check for SK Modified® drivers up to $1,975 and each SK Light feature winner’s check to $650.

Matt Hirschman Wins 50th Annual NAPA Spring Sizzler At Stafford Speedway

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Motor Speedway kicked off the 2022 season with “The Greatest Race in the History of Spring,” the 50^th Annual NAPA Spring Sizzler with Open Modified cars. Matt Hirschman led the race twice for a total of 43 laps, including 22 of the final 23 laps as he came out on top of a late race duel between himself and Ryan Preece. (more…)

McKinney Construction Joins Stafford Speedway’s SK Modified and Late Model Contingency Programs

(Stafford Springs, CT) — Another new partner is set to join the Stafford Speedway contingency program for the 2022 season. McKinney Construction will provide both a weekly $150 bonus to the winner of the SK Modified® feature and a $125 weekly bonus to the winner of the Late Model feature. Chris Matthews Ready to Return to Victory Lane in Stafford’s SK Lights

(Stafford Springs, CT)—When Stafford Speedway created the SK Light division back in 2006, hometown driver Chris Matthews quickly established himself as the standout of the division. He racked up 17 wins over the first three years of the division, which is still the most wins by any driver to date, and claimed the 2007 SK Light championship.
