Weekend Doubleheader To Kick Start 2023 Championship Chases At Riverhead Raceway This Saturday And Sunday

The chase for fourteen 2023 divisional Riverhead Raceway track championships will kick off in spectacular fashion as Connie Partridge and Tom Gatz present opening weekend May 6th & May 7th at the historic quarter mile facility. Seven NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series divisions take the green flag Saturday evening while the next afternoon on Sunday seven more divisions begin their quest for a 2023 driving title. Of the fourteen drivers capturing 2022 championships, twelve are expected to defend this season.

During the off season on Long Island the whispers grew louder and louder on the status of the four time and defending Riverhead Raceway NASCAR Modified championship pairing of Wayne Anderson and driver Kyle Soper. With a short, simple Facebook posting published April 3rd. Anderson gave the first indication writing, “plenty of race car equipment for sale, also tools, air & electric”.

JR Bertuccio Quickest NASCAR Modified Testing During First Riverhead Raceway Practice Day

A new race season dawned on Long Island Saturday afternoon as Riverhead Raceway hosted the first of two pre-season practice days leading up to the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series opening night May 6th. After five sessions of NASCAR Modified testing was completed, 2002 track champion JR Bertuccio of Centereach was quickest on the day.

Two Free To The Public Riverhead Raceway Practice Days Announced For April 22nd & April 29th

Baseball fans have spring training to look forward to during a long off season, but if you are a race fan on Long Island you very much look forward to the two practice days at Riverhead Raceway signaling another exciting race season is right around the corner. Today track officials announced Saturday April 22nd and Saturday April 29th as the two practice days with the tradition of free grandstand admission remaining in place for eager race fans. Also, track owners Connie Partridge and Tom Gatz revealed the Enduro Opening Day program has been moved up one week to Sunday April 30th starting the new race season a week earlier.

Preseason Safety Inspection Dates Announced For Riverhead Raceway April 8th & April 15th

With 2023 Speedweeks firmly in the rearview mirror, Riverhead Raceway announced today two preseason safety inspection days Saturday April 8th and Saturday April 15th. Weather permitting, both inspection days run from 10:00 am through 3:00 pm and kickoff a busy month of April leading up to the 73rd season opening weekend Saturday evening May 6th and Sunday afternoon May 7th.

Riverhead Raceway Announces Three 2023 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Dates, Buzz Chew Chevrolet-Cadillac 200 Set For May 20th

While Riverhead Raceway is the shortest track visited by the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, the demanding bullring nestled on Eastern Long Island will again be the most frequented by WMT teams in 2023. Track owners Connie Partridge and Tom Gatz have inked three dates for 2023 with Riverhead Raceway anchoring the 19 event WMT schedule. The first WMT stop at the demanding but always exciting bullring features the Buzz Chew Chevrolet-Cadillac 200 Saturday evening May 20th.

The popular gathering of the Long Island racing community will be hosted by Riverhead Raceway announcer Stephen Halpin and his twin brother, noted racing spotter Tim.
