Darling Does It Again: Eighth Seekonk Championship In Reach With Another Win
SEEKONK, Mass. — Rehoboth’s Dave Darling’s season of dominance continued on Saturday, August 14, as the driver of the No. 52 inched closer to his record eighth track championship. Darling started towards the bottom of the top-10 in the 40 lap race, and without the luxury of a caution, the veteran sliced through the field, passing Mike Brightman for the lead at the halfway point. PASS All Star’s and Seekonk Pro Stock Drivers Will Clash on Wednesday, July 28
Some of Seekonk Speedway’s best NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Racing Series competitors will be switching their cars to a new set of rules to compete in the inaugural Bay State Classic on Wednesday, July 28. Seekonk’s weekly competitors normally run without bump stops in their front shocks, per the Seekonk rules. However, for the invading Pro All Star Series $10,000 to win special, bump stops are allowed, and all drivers will be switching over to be as competitive as possible in their efforts to defend the home turf. SEEKONK, Mass. — Seekonk Speedway and Tri Track Open Modified Series officials announced on Wednesday night a postponement, and rescheduled date of Wednesday, August 25, for Speed51.TV Modified Madness. Due to an electrical outage due to a power line down in the Seekonk area — and severe lightning in the area — officials had no choice but to move the race in the best interest of safety for all involved. SEEKONK, Mass. — While the sun went down, the action heated up on Wednesday night at Seekonk Speedway for a mid-week, open-wheel special. The ISMA Supermodifieds returned to the third-mile for the first time in a decade, and Jon McKennedy rolled to a dominating victory, while the NEMA Midgets and NEMA Lites also hit the track. Jake Trainor won the 50-lap Lite special and Paul Scally etched his name in the record books as a NEMA winner in their 29-lap Boston Louie Seymour Memorial feature.
