Ted Christopher Drive for Safety Initiative to Award 5 Custom Bell Helmets to Stafford Drivers

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Prior to the start of the 2020 racing season, Quinn Christopher, wife of the late Stafford Speedway legend Ted Christopher, established the Ted Christopher Drive for Safety Initiative.  Last season over 100 Stafford drivers received either a nomex undershirt, helmet skirt, or head sock through the TC Safety initiative. Each of those drivers was also entered into a drawing to win a free Leaf firesuit, which was won by Meghan Fuller.

Stafford SK Modified Purse Increasing by $2,700 for North American Motor Car Senator’s Cup

(Stafford Springs, CT)—This Friday night, August 13, will see Stafford Speedway’s SK Modified® cars take part in their second extra distance event of the 2021 season in the North American Motor Car Senator’s Cup.  The SK Modifieds® will race 50-laps instead of their customary 40-lap distance, and with the extra distance comes extra cash.  Stafford will increase the SK Modified® feature purse by $2,700 with the purse increase spread evenly throughout the field as each finishing position will receive an extra $100. STAFFORD, Conn. — Justin Bonsignore came up just one spot short on Friday, August 6, in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour’s return to Stafford Motor Speedway. Driving the No. 51 Kenneth Massa Motorsports machine, Bonsignore entered the race with no wins in 39 career starts at the Connecticut half-mile, and left with none in 40 starts.

MILFORD, Conn. — Doug Coby is set to return to Stafford Motor Speedway this Friday, August 6, as the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour invades the half-mile for the eighth race of the season. Coby, a former multiple-time track champion, who is 18th on the all-time track wins list, has 12 of those wins in Whelen Modified Tour competition, and would love to add a lucky 13 in his return to his home track.

Patrick Emerling Looking to Go Two For Two in GAF Roofing 150 at Stafford

(Stafford Springs, CT)—With the return of the Whelen Modified Tour to Stafford this Friday, August 6 for the GAF Roofing 150, perhaps no driver is more looking forward to the race than Patrick Emerling.  The Buffalo, NY native won the NAPA Spring Sizzler back on April 30 and he won the most recent WMT race in Lancaster, NY this past weekend.  Emerling is looking forward to returning to Stafford with his #07 Captain Pip’s Marina Chevrolet and he thinks he can make it not only two in a row at Stafford, but two in a row on the Tour as well.
