With the dawn of the 2021 Stafford Weekly Racing season right around the corner, SK Modified® driver Dan Wesson is ready for a breakout season. The 2021 season will mark Wesson’s 7th season of modified competition at Stafford and his 4th season in the SK Modified® division. Since moving into the SK Modified® division in 2018, Wesson has yet to run a full season due to attending Wofford University in Spartanburg, SC, where he was the 2020 Southern Conference Air Rifle Champion. It’s no stranger that Stan Mertz Racing driver Woody Pitkat is one of the most recognized fans of Twisted Tea in the Modified community, and now, he will get to showcase both Twisted Tea and Truly brands on the No. 6 Modified en route to chasing Victory Lane. A new paint scheme has been created by Thirty Two Signs that will be used to wrap the car.

Stan Mertz Racing already visited Victory Lane in a Twisted Tea sponsored race during the 2020 season, winning the Twisted Tea 80 at Stafford Motor Speedway. Now, they will be on the car for every race as primary sponsor for 2021.

Chris Meyer came to Stafford Speedway last year with 10+ years of experience driving a Street Stock but the 2020 season was his first campaign at the Connecticut half-mile facility. Meyer’s lack of Stafford experience never showed though as he finished second in his first start and went on to win 2 races and finished 2nd in the final points standings. Following a two-car operation for the 2020 Limited Late Model season at Stafford Speedway, Clement Motorsports will continue to grow in 2021, adding a third car to its stable. It will be a family affair in 2021 with Scott Clement joining his brothers Matt and Jay on the driver roster while their father Brian, a former Limited Late Model driver, will serve as crew chief and car owner.
