Barre, VT — While officials remained optimistic at the conclusion of yesterday’s racing program, the weatherman was once again unkind to Thunder Road on Saturday morning. With a forecasted weather pattern similar to the one that pushed Thursday’s postponement, Thunder Road officials have made the difficult decision to hold off and postpone the McGee Hyundai of Barre program to a new Super Friday date on Friday, September 1st. Barre, VT — Finally greeted by a beautiful day of weather, Thunder Road opened its gates Sunday to an overflow crowd of fans ready to witness the greatest spectacle in auto racing; The 39th annual Bolduc Metal Recycling Enduro 200. ‘The People’s Race’ was far from disappointing with ninety of the most ridiculous looking machines in the Green Mountain State each looking to tackle the Thunder Road highbanks for 200 laps.
Barre, VT — Rain once again played its part in a Thursday at Thunder Road after plenty of the wet stuff fell from the sky to delay the start of practice on WDEV/Calkins Portable Toilets night. Officials remained persistent and dried the track on three separate occasions with the sun helping out on the final session.
