The Modified Racing Series made its return to Wiscasset Speedway on Saturday, July 9th for an action-packed 75 lap main event. The touring series, founded in 2004, runs a limited 7 race schedule and features some of the most talented Modified drivers in the Northeast. The drivers in Saturday’s lineup included Andy Shaw, Matt Swanson, Donnie Lashua and Derek Robie, among others.
Avery Stoehr, back in his familiar Bertrand Motorsports 39, scored a convincing victory this past Saturday evening at Wiscasset Speedway, while Jake Trainor in the Seymour 29 charged through the field to dominate the Lites portion of the event. The race was sponsored by Ames True Value Supply and Just Ask Rental which is a local family run business four generations strong – with ten 5th generation kids in the wings.
The 2022 season at Wiscasset Speedway rolled on this past Saturday with a full Group #2 program. The lineup included the 88.5FM Modifieds, Kennebec Equipment Rental Outlaw Minis, Wood Pellet Warehouse Late Models, T&L Automotive Roadrunners and the Portland Glass Strictly Streets.
The 2022 racing season at Wiscasset Speedway rolled on this past weekend with a full Group #1 program that included the Sweatt’s Concrete Thunder 4 Minis, Market 27 Super Streets, Brackett’s Market 4-Cylinder Pros, Norm’s Used Car Pro Stocks and the NELCAR Legends. Over 80 competitors lined the pits on Saturday for an exciting day of racing.
Memorial Day weekend is always exciting at Wiscasset Speedway because it’s home to the coveted Coastal 200. The annual $5,000 to win race is one of the biggest Late Model races in New England. (more…)
The 2022 season continues to roll on at Wiscasset Speedway as the racing action continues to heat up! The Group #1 divisions returned to the speedway on Saturday, May 21st for a full night of racing action which included the T&L Automotive Enduro Series.
Wiscasset Speedway continued their season opening festivities on Saturday, April 23rd, hosting the Group 2 season opener featuring the Portland Glass Strictly Streets, 88.5FM Modifieds, T&L Automotive Roadrunners, Wood Pellet Warehouse Late Model Sportsman and Kennebec Equipment Rental Outlaw Minis. Saturday, April 23rd marked the beginning of the 2022 race season at Wiscasset Speedway and the tenth season of track ownership for Richard and Vanessa Jordan. The sudden closure of another Maine race track at the conclusion of the 2021 season left the local race community saddened, but also opened doors of opportunity for new drivers and teams to explore other race tracks such as Wiscasset.
