Barre, VT – While Mother Nature gave it her all to wash out the Preston’s Kia Independence Day Spectacular, the Thunder Road faithful showed up in droves and moved her rain showers to the side with four divisions of racing action and Central Vermont’s biggest Northstar Fireworks display on the docket.
(Stafford Springs, CT)—As Stafford Speedway approached the historic milestone of its 700th different feature winner, few would have guessed that 20-year-old SK Light rookie Dean Lambros would be the one to etch his name into the record books. Entering the 2025 season, Lambros had made just three starts in the SK Light division, with a best finish of tenth. His racing background consisted mostly of go-karts, Legend Cars with the Korner family and CJ D’Addario of 860 Motorsports, and a handful of races in formula-style cars—hardly the typical résumé of a driver expected to reach Victory Lane so early in their modified career. But Lambros defied the odds on June 27th. Driving Joey Ferrigno’s #67 Wicked Powersports / Skip Barber Racing School modified, he claimed his first SK Light win, and the 700th feature victory in Stafford history, in only his ninth career start.
Barre, VT — A trip ten years in the making, the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour returns to the banks of the St. Lawrence River this Saturday, July 5 for the Yvon Bedard 149 at Circuit Riverside Speedway in Ste-Croix, Quebec. Long touted as Quebec’s fastest oval, the 5/8-mile, moderately banked Speedway has returned to the schedule with new pavement laid down in preparation for the celebration of one of Quebec’s fan-favorites. HUDSON, N.H. – Joey Polewarczyk left no doubt Sunday night as to who holds the home track advantage at Hudson Speedway.
The Hudson, N.H., native and 2020 Granite State Pro Stock Series champion, led every lap en route to his second straight victory in the series’ annual Gate City Classic 100.
N. Woodstock, NH — A capacity crowd filed into White Mountain Motorsports Park for Sunday’s special matinee headlined by the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. The inaugural Thunder in the Mountains 200 was a game of strategy for the Mighty Modifieds with a sixth different winner standing in NASCAR victory lane.
Chase Elliott won the Cup race at Atlanta. Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT came in 15th. Not so lucky was Joey Logano of Middletown, CT who placed 36th.
The Xfinity race at the same track had Nick Sanchez going to Victory Lane. Kris Wright ended up 25th. Wright steers the entry for Cape Cod’s Chris and Mary Our who reside in Chatham, MA. Anthony Alfredo of Richfield, CT ended his day in 29th place.
Lime Rock Park in Connecticut had the Craftsman Trucks in for the first time. Corey Heim won the race. Gio Ruggiero of Seekonk, MA came in third. Stewart Friesen of NJ placed 23rd. Dale Quarterly of Westfield, MA ended up 32nd.
Also, at Lime Rock Park was a Menard’s ARCA race won by Tom Annunziata of Colts Neck, NJ. Dale Quarterly finished seventh.
Lime Rock Park followed up with a story that there was a record crowd in attendance.
The last weekend of June 2025 will forever standout as a special one for Chase Grennan of Glen Cove as just hours after graduation high school, Chase went on to score a clean sweep of the “Flying Dutchman” 75 NASCAR Modified event Saturday night at Riverhead Raceway. The 2024 Islip 300 winner set fast time in qualifying and promptly led all 75-laps of the race celebrating the late Fred Harbach and 75th Anniversary of Riverhead Raceway.
