Central Asphalt Flying Tiger Triple Crown Starts in Earnest This Saturday, June 3rd At White Mountain

N. Woodstock, NH — Thunder returns to the Mountains this Saturday, June 3rd with Round #1 of the Central Asphalt Paving Flying Tiger Triple Crown Series at White Mountain Motorsports Park! All your favorite Tiger drivers will be in attendance for the 75-lap showdown with multiple invaders expected to rock the boat. Saturday will also feature the first of two combination events between the traveling Mighty Mini Stock Series and the Ammonoosuc Asphalt Mini Late Models in a special $750 to win showdown. (more…)

Two Set For Induction On Cromarty Wall Of Champions Prior To Baldwin, Evans & Jarzombek 77 At Riverhead Raceway June 17th

Over the past weekend during the Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series event at Riverhead Raceway, track owners Connie Partridge and Tom Gatz announced that Chuck Steuer of Bohemia and Keith “Flash” Gordon of Miller Place will be inducted onto the Cromarty Wall of Champions Saturday evening June 17th. The inductions of the two soft spoken drivers, both multi time track champions proceed the annual Baldwin, Evans & Jarzombek 77 Memorial for the NASCAR Modifieds.

Doug Coby Rockets To Second-Place Finish at Thunder Road

BARRE, Vt. – Doug Coby’s first trip to Thunder Road International Speedbowl ended with a finish on the podium on Sunday afternoon. Coby wheeled the Mayhew Tools No. 10 to a strong second-place run after leading laps in the season opener for the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series.

Bobby Santos III Wins First Career Hoosier Hundred With USAC Silver Crown

If Friday night’s Hoosier Hundred had been a standard 100-lap affair, the closing scene very well might’ve been played out to a completely different ending for Bobby Santos.

However, at a distance of 146 laps and 100 miles, this one at Indiana’s Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park was anything but standard no matter which way you dissect it. (more…)

Mike Hopkins Scores First Career Coastal 200 Victory at Wiscasset Speedway

Thousands of fans rolled into Wiscasset Speedway on Sunday for the biggest Late Model race of the year, the Coastal 200. The $10,000 to win race, presented by Coldbrook Trailers and GT Overhead Doors, is one of the marquee events of the race season and always draws some of the biggest names in the Northeast. This year was no different as Eddie MacDonald, Mike Hopkins and 3-time Coastal 200 winner Ben Ashline were among those in the field.

As Santino Ferrucci sat under the third red flag in the closing laps of Sunday’s Indianapolis 500, only one thought entered his mind, and that was the crowd being on his side.

One-hundred-and-twenty-four cars flooded the Thunder Road pit area ranging from the top oval track masters of the Green Mountain State to some of the most nationally recognized names in Tour-type Modifieds.
