LAKEVILLE, CT (3 September 2022)- Some 65 years after the first race at Lime Rock Park, the famous “No Name Straight” was finally bestowed with a very memorable name this weekend. During a special ceremony held at the Historic Festival 40 presented by Corvette, the not quite straight but very fast backstretch of the Connecticut circuit was dedicated as the “Paul Newman Straight.”

LAKEVILLE, CT (3 September 2022)- General Motors President Mark Reuss waved the green flag to kick-off a perfect day of racing at Lime Rock Park on Saturday during the Historic Festival 40 presented by Corvette. The longstanding Lime Rock Park Labor Day tradition continued with a busy day of activity both on and off the track.
HOLTSVILLE, N.Y. – For the 34th time in his NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour career, Justin Bonsignore was celebrating in Victory Lane on Saturday night. Bonsignore rocketed to his third win of the season in the Toyota Budweiser Mod Classic 150 – holding off a late charge from Chuck Hossfeld to get back to Victory Lane.
It was wall to wall racing Saturday evening at Riverhead Raceway with nine feature events totaling 270-laps presented before another large turnout. When the dust settled on the 50-lap NASCAR Modified feature Dylan Slepian of Dix Hills sat in the winners circle for the third time this season while in the companion 100-lap Eagle Auto Mall Crate Modified event Michael Berner of Patchogue notched his second win of the season. (Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway returned to NASCAR weekly racing action with the Late Model division taking center stage with their extra distance Paradiso Insurance Late Model 50 feature event. Tom Fearn was the big winner of the night by winning the 50-lap Paradiso Insurance 50-lap race for his first career extra distance victory among his now 61 career Late Model feature wins at Stafford.
