Some of Seekonk Speedway’s best NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Racing Series competitors will be switching their cars to a new set of rules to compete in the inaugural Bay State Classic on Wednesday, July 28. Seekonk’s weekly competitors normally run without bump stops in their front shocks, per the Seekonk rules. However, for the invading Pro All Star Series $10,000 to win special, bump stops are allowed, and all drivers will be switching over to be as competitive as possible in their efforts to defend the home turf. Corliss Goes Back-to-Back at Vermont Governor’s Cup
Barre, VT — Hometown racer Jason Corliss left NASCAR’s Ryan Preece and everyone else behind on the way to his second straight Essex Equipment Vermont Governor’s Cup victory at Barre’s Thunder Road on Thursday, July 15. Corliss took the lead from three-time track champion Derrick O’Donnell on lap 41 of the 150-lap event and dusted the 27-car field en route to a statement win. (more…)

The final lap of the 25-lap X-Car feature started with Liebel in second place, but it ended with Liebel finishing ahead of Christian Herman by a mere 0,031 on a wild final lap to rack up his first Speedbowl win to highlight the Wild and Wacky Wednesday race program at the New London Waterford Speedbowl. Now — nearly a month later — the Whelen Modified Tour will return to the track for the seventh race of the season — marking the halfway point in the 14-race schedule — and Coby and his closest challengers are headed to New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Saturday, July 17.
