Waterbury, VT and Naples, ME — After two months of calm, Connecticut’s Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park roars back to life next Wednesday, June 16 with a mid-week showdown in Connecticut. The Outlaw Open Modified Series headlines the program with the Nutmeg State 75 presented by Twisted Tea worth $5,000 to the winner. Much like fielding a race car operating a short track often finds teams having to make changes on the fly to find the right set up. Such was the case for Riverhead Raceway management team who on Tuesday announced adjustments to their 2021 schedule for late July and the first week of August. Chief among those changes is moving back the annual Baldwin, Evans & Jarzombek 77 one week to Saturday August 7th. The 77 is the second race of the 2021 in Crown Jewel Series for the Ted Christopher Cup. (more…)

ATTLEBORO, Mass. — NASCAR Cup Series driver Ryan Preece will take advantage of a Saturday off this weekend to compete in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Steel Palace 150 at Oswego Speedway on Saturday, June 12. (Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway and the SRX Racing Series has added an autograph session and pit party featuring the SRX and SK Modified® drivers on Saturday, June 12th. The drivers competing in the TickMike.com SK Modified® All-Star Race will have their cars on display and will sign autographs from 3:00pm to 4:00pm while SRX drivers will sign autographs from 3:15pm to 4:00pm. Autographs from the SRX drivers will require a $20 ticket with all proceeds being donated to Camping World’s Plating Change Foundation.
