Doubleheader Saturday, Sept. 20 features all three series on track. The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour kicks things off with qualifying immediately followed by the Mohegan Sun 100. Next up, the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series battles it out in the Round of 10 cutoff race, the Team EJP 175. Finally, the NASCAR Cup Series takes the stage for practice and qualifying to set the stage for Sunday’s Round of 12 kickoff race.

King of the Crate(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted its SK Light Modified division for an extra distance 40-lap King of the Crate feature event as part of the GAF Roofing Modified Masters program on Wednesday, July 16th.  Peter Bennett was the big winner of the night, capturing the King of the Crate title for his very first career feature victory at Stafford Speedway.

Jake Johnson Wins GAF Roofing Modified Masters At Stafford Speedway

GAF Roofing Modified Masters(Stafford Springs, CT)—The Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series came to Stafford Motor Speedway on Wednesday, July 16th for the 80-lap GAF Roofing Modified Masters feature event.  Jake Johnson took control of the race just past the halfway point of the race and he led the final 40 laps of the race to the checkered flag to win the GAF Roofing Modified Masters.

What Welch really wants though, is a win and what better way to get his first of the year than to stand tall as the Midseason Champion?! In fact, the top three in Late Model standings all remain winless this season, using consistency to make their way to the top.

Logan Melcher Overcomes Adversity at Wiscasset Speedway

While heavy fog rolled into Coastal Maine on Saturday afternoon, Wiscasset Speedway was able to keep the action rolling along and successfully beat Mother Nature’s time clock, hosting a full Group 1 racing program.

The Davis Erector Group 207 Crate Modifieds were the spotlight division of the night with two feature races. Bubba Pelton took off with the early lead in the first race and held off a hard-charging John Ricci as the laps wound down, scoring the victory. Ryan Phillips held the upper hand in the second feature, but Pelton pulled to his door on lap 10, challenging for the top spot. Pelton completed the pass on lap 17 and never looked back, sweeping the division.
