(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway returned to racing action with a Kids Night / Weekly Series program on Friday, June 3rd. The kids big wheel race was won by Adam Gray’s 6-year-old son Jacob. Stephen Kopcik came up a winner for the second consecutive week in the SK Modified® feature while it was a big night for the Gray family as Adam Gray won the Late Model feature and his 6-year-old son Jacob won the Kids Big Wheel race. Riverhead Raceway officials announced today the twice postponed 2021 championship awards presentation will take place Sunday afternoon April 3rd at The All-Star of Riverhead. Track owners Connie Partridge and Tom Gatz will present nine track champions with the traditional championship rings and plaques. The top five from the nine classes will also receive plaques, with seven Rookie of the Year drivers to be named. (more…)
Kyle Soper of Manorville celebrated his third Buzz Chew Chevrolet NASCAR Modified title in the past four seasons at Riverhead Raceway the only way he knows how, with a victory in the regular season finale. Soper, 25 came to the 50-lap event not only having secured the Riverhead title but also on Friday he was announced as the New York State champion in Division 1 of the Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series.
