Outlaw Open Modified Dash for Cash Returns to Sunoco World Series Friday, October 11th

Naples, ME & Barre, VT — Back by popular demand, American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Pro All Stars Series (PASS) officials announced today that the Outlaw Open Modified Series will make it’s grand return to Thompson Speedway as part of the Friday night opener to the 62ndSunoco World Series on October 11th. The $5,000-to-win Dash for Cash will once again feature a $5,000 winner’s share with just a four-tire limit for their 50-lap sprint around the 0.625-mile oval!

With the addition of the Sunoco World Series Dash for Cash on Friday, all three days of the 62n Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing will feature Tour-type Modified competition. Following Friday’s 50-lap, $5,000-to-win sprint, Saturday includes the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series in their Constantine Paving & Sealing 75 before Sunday wraps up with the Sunoco World Series 150 presented by FloRacing for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour! Barre, VT — The Thunder Road Speedbowl office in Barre has been buzzing with preparation for the 62nd running of the Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank on October 5th and 6th at the Nation’s Site of Excitement. Over thirty American-Canadian Tour Late Model teams have thrown their respective hats in the running for ‘The Toughest Short Track Stock Car Race in North America’ with an exciting $104,000 purse awaiting the two-day pinnacle of racing in the Green Mountain State!

It all starts with Booth Bros/Hood Milk Bowl Qualifying Day on Saturday, October 5th with the once-a-year Time Trials for the Maplefield/Irving Late Models! Each driver will take on the highbanks for two laps at speed in a fight for the $1,000 Booth Bros/Hood Milk Bowl Pole Award with $500 going to the second-fastest driver to lock in Sunday’s front row! Redemption for Gabe Brown in Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Fall Foliage 200 Win at WMMP

N. Woodstock, NH — Twenty-nine American-Canadian Tour teams entered the pit area of White Mountain Motorsports Park on Saturday morning with twenty-eight able to take the green for the 46th running of the Fall Foliage 200 presented by Bar Harbor Bank & Trust. It was a Southern New Hampshire pair who led the field to green with former White Mountain Late Model Rookie of the Year Bryan Wall Jr. securing the pole position with a +3 earned in heat three alongside former ACT top freshman Erick Sands.

The two battled in the opening rounds of the 200-lap main event with Sands taking the upper hand to lead the way through lap 26 before Gabe Brown took over the point. Brown, coming off last Saturday’s successful Wall’s Ford Platinum Series triple crown title fight, utilized his knowledge of the track to stranglehold the lead through several quick-spin caution periods in the early goings. Center Conway’s Gabe Brown Sweeps Wall’s Ford Platinum Series En-Route to Championship

N. Woodstock, NH — A picture perfect evening in North Woodstock, New Hampshire on Saturday night for the Wall’s Ford Platinum Series championship showdown. The evening started off with two Dads 4 By Tool & Supply Kid’s Division feature events. Split with a larger car count entering the pit area on Saturday, feature one saw young Madison Potter hold onto the lead, even after a hair-raising restart following Colton Williams’ smash-up with the turn two wall.

Potter took down her first career Kid’s Division victory with an all-female podium featuring a hard-charging Chloe Doyle taking second and Makenzi Sicard coming home third. Feature two saw Connor Charbonneau pace the early going as Hayden Bushey and Colby Stygles powered their way to the front from their back-row starting spots. The battle came down to the final lap with Hayden Bushey claiming the win over Stygles and Charbonneau hanging on for third. (more…)

Wall’s Ford Platinum Series Comes to a 100-Lap Close to Headline September 14th at WMMP

Woodstock, NH — White Mountain Motorsports Park is ready to crown its next series champion this Saturday night as the Wall’s Ford Platinum Series comes to a close in 100 laps of heart pounding action for the Foley Oil & Propane Late Models! The September 14 program will also feature continued track championship action from the Fisher Auto Parts Flying Tigers, Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Stock Minis, Wayne’s Market Dwarf Cars and the non-point Dads 4 By Tool & Supply Kid’s Division!

The third and final round of the Wall’s Ford Platinum Series will settle the score in the popular Foley Oil & Propane Late Model program. Current American-Canadian Tour point leader Gabe Brown also leads the Wall’s Ford Platinum Series standings ahead of current King of the Mountain track championship point leader Tanner Woodard. Tom Carey III Takes ‘the Brookside Ride’ to $5,000 Back to School Bash Victory

Thompson, CT — The Street Stocks got Sunday’s Back to School Bash at Thompson Speedway off to a rip-roaring start with polesitter Austin Flanagan quickly losing the lead under the green flag with an ill-handling machine. Flanagan’s fumble gave Ryan Waterman open range at the front of the pack as Al Stone III and Corey Fanning attempted to reel him in during their 20-lap feature. The lone caution flag flew just before the halfway point as Mike Viens went into the spin cycle in turn one. Although his early lead evaporated in an instant, Ryan Waterman again powered through on the restart to lead the Street Stocks under the checkered flag with Al Stone III and Corey Fanning joining the podium.
