When Joey Braun of Manorville rolled into the pit area Wednesday afternoon to make his NASCAR Modified debut with car owner Rich Gerbe, not even Joey, who exudes confidence could have predicted what was about to happen a few hours later. Executing a last lap pass coming to the checker flag, Joey Braun making his NASCAR Tour Type Modified debut at his home track put the new formed team in victory lane before a large midweek crowd. Braun’s win makes it eight different winners in ten 2025 NASCAR Modified events run to date.

Highmark-Building Efficiency Teaming With Joey Braun To Chase 2024 Riverhead Raceway INEX Legend Race Car Championship
Rich Gerbe, co-founder of Highmark-Building Efficiency announced Friday morning that Highmark would team with Joey Braun of Manorville to chase the 2024 INEX Legend Race Car championship at Riverhead Raceway. Gerbe, the 1999 Legend Race Car champion at Riverhead also disclosed the new pairing would enter the $25,000 to win Carolina Family Pool & Patio INEX Legend Race Car event in December at Southern National Motorsports Park of North Carolina.

According to local weather experts it was supposed to be a pleasant final weekend of spring on Long Island. However suddenly Saturday evening a “clipper system” from the Northeast blew in and brought rain to Riverhead Raceway ending the program 25-laps into a scheduled 40-lap Crate Modified feature. John Beatty Jr. Tops Opening Night Modified Feature At Riverhead Raceway Saturday
The gates swung open Saturday evening for the 71st season of stock car racing at Riverhead Raceway and when the checker flag waved on the 50-lap Buzz Chew Chevrolet NASCAR Modified feature John Beatty Jr. of Merrick sat in the winner circle after surviving a late race restart with 11 laps remaining in the race to post his 9th career victory. 2020 Kulwicki Driver Development Program Semifinalists Revealed: Four New Englanders Made the List
CONCORD, N.C. – The seven drivers who will represent the Kulwicki Driver Development Program (KDDP) for the 2020 racing season will come from a diverse group of 15 semifinalists that were announced on Monday morning’s edition of Speed51.com’s “The Bullring.” The drivers range in age from 15 to 23 years of age and represent nine different states and one Canadian province.
