Rocco, Coury, Matthews, Surdell, & Ouellette Score AZ Roofing Kids Night Feature Wins at Stafford Speedway

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted AZ Roofing Kids Night on Friday, May 30th, the first of three kids nights scheduled for the 2025 season. Keith Rocco was a SK Modified® winner for a second consecutive race, while Wayne Coury, Jr. won the Late Model feature, Chris Matthews won the SK Light feature, RJ Surdell won the Limited Late Model feature, and Bert Ouellette was a winner for the second time in 2025 in the Street Stock feature. There were two kids big wheel races with Memphis Genereux and Evan DaRos the winners.

Wayne Coury, Jr. Set to Chase Wins and Late Model Championship at Stafford

(Stafford Springs, CT)—The 2024 Late Model season at Stafford Speedway marks the third season together for the driver/owner combination of Wayne Coury, Jr. and Pat Kretschman, Tom Fearn, and Gary Theriault. Coury has notched a single feature victory in each of the last 2 seasons working with the #10 Springfield Thunderbirds team and after finishing second behind Kevin Gambacorta in the 2023 standings, Coury has his sights set on racking up multiple feature wins in 2024.

Taking down feature win on the night were Cory DiMatteo in the SK Modified® feature, Wayne Coury, Jr. in the Late Model feature, George Bessette, Jr. in the SK Light feature, Rich Hammann in the Limited Late Model feature, and Chris Danielczuk was a first time career feature winner in the Street Stock feature after a thrilling final lap. (Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway’s Late Model division will take center stage this Friday night, September 3rd with the running of the Paradiso Insurance Late Model 50. Wayne Coury, Jr., driver of the #10 Wayne’s Auto Body Chevrolet, will be out for redemption in this year’s edition of the extra distance event as he started 6th and led from lap-5 to lap-19 before a flat tire ruined his chances at victory in last year’s Late Model 50.
