This past Saturday, excited fans packed the stands and pit area at Wiscasset Speedway in anticipation for the Group 2 Fan Appreciation Night and the longest distance Late Model race of the year, the Late Model 75.
The program, sponsored by Fisher Plows, kicked off with a driver meet and greet on the frontstretch, followed by kid’s bike races and backpack giveaways throughout the night.
Following another unfortunate rainout two weekends ago, Wiscasset Speedway returned to action on Saturday night with a loaded Group 2 program that featured the Dale’s Cash Fuel Roadrunners, Wood Pellet Warehouse Late Models, the weekly T&L Automotive Modifieds and the final points race of the season for the Portland Glass Strictly Streets.
An unfavorable weather pattern threatened to dampen yet another race day at Wiscasset Speedway on Saturday, but the track powered through and successfully hosted their first Group 2 night race of the 2024 season without any delays to the main racing program. (more…)
