LEBANON, Tenn. — Among all the drivers in the NTT IndyCar Series field, perhaps nobody’s name is more associated with controversy as Santino Ferrucci.
The Woodbury, Conn., native has developed a reputation and reinforced it this season as a major threat on ovals. Ferrucci demanded attention more than a handful of times when the series came to World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway and the Milwaukee Mile by pulling off a series of high-risk moves at both venues and walking away with two fourth-place finishes (both in the Milwaukee doubleheader) from those three races, with a 12th-place finish at Gateway being the outlier.
Santino Ferrucci will drive the No. 14 for AJ Foyt Racing in 2025, the team announced Sept. 12.
The extension is for multiple years, locking Ferrucci into the No. 14 for at least the next two NTT IndyCar Series seasons. He will be teammates with David Malukas, who also signed a multi-year agreement to join the team in 2025 back in August. (more…)

Santino Ferrucci, of Woodbury, CT, will run full time for AJ Foyt Racing in the NTT IndyCar Series next season, the team announced Oct. 6.

Despite still being a part-time IndyCar team, Dreyer and Reinbold will return to next May’s Indy 500 with one of the strongest two-driver lineups in the field, in terms of 2021 results.

Mooresville, NC (September 27, 2021) – Sam Hunt Racing (SHR) announced today that 23-year-old Santino Ferrucci of Woodbury, CT will make his superspeedway debut this Saturday at Talladega Superspeedway in the Sparks 300 at Talladega. Ferrucci, who made is NXS debut earlier this season at Homestead-Miami Speedway, will be piloting the No. 26 Hy-Vee/Palermo’s Screamin’Sicilian Pizza Co. Toyota Supra around the 2.5-mile track.
Team co-owner Bobby Rahal has for many years talked about running three cars full-time in IndyCar if it made financial sense, and while Leader Circle funding – the money given to the top 22 cars in entrant points at the end of the year – is worth approximately $825,000 per car this year, that may well prove the necessary boost for the three-time IndyCar champion to take the three-car plunge in 2022. But he agrees with Graham Rahal, who a week ago said Ferrucci must stop crashing in IndyCar to be considered for a long-term addition at Rahal Letterman Lanigan.
