Swanson Shows Poise in Early Season, Wins First-Career Pole Award at Stafford

Acton, MA (May 4, 2021): On Friday night, April 30, Matt Swanson of Acton, MA, earned his first career NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour pole award during qualifying for the prestigious Spring Sizzler.  Swanson, driver of the famed Ole Blue for Mike Boehler Racing Enterprises of E. Freetown, MA, turned a lap of 18.008 seconds, nearly eclipsing an average speed of 100 (99.956) mph, to earn the Mayhew Tools Dominator Pole Award.

Track Talk – Savary To Take On Thompson Speedway’s Outlaw Modified Race This Weekend; Other Notes

Richard Savary of Canton plans to take in the Outlaw Modified race this Saturday, 4/11/21 at the 5/8-mile Thompson Speedway in CT which will open the 2021 racing season.  He originally planned to only race in the Tri Track Open Modified Series which is comprised of just six events this season.

Matt Swanson Helping Steer “Ole Blue” Modified Tour Car Back To Top

After a red-hot finish to the 2019 Whelen Modified Tour season, Matt Swanson was pumped up. The season had started slow for Swanson and the BRE Racing No. 3 team from E. Freetown with just one top-10 in the first five races. Then, Swanson and the No. 3 team returned to form, finishing outside the top-10 just three times the rest of the season.
