Friday is a dedicated practice day, with cars of every era turning laps from morning to evening. Lime Rock Park - Skip Barber DaySkip Barber Day: Sunday, August 31

At last year’s SpeedTour, Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont, Senator Richard Blumenthal, and Representative Maria Horn joined fans, friends, fellow racers, and the Lime Rock Park ownership group to honor a true racing legend. Together, they presented Skip Barber with a framed proclamation officially declaring August 31 as Skip Barber Day in the State of Connecticut.

This year, the celebration falls on Sunday in the Park, our Concours d’Elegance and Gathering of the Marques—making the day even more special.

Dan Gurney’s “Blue Eagle” Has Landed At Lime Rock HF43

Blue Eagle Lime Rock ParkThe #42 All American Racers “Blue Eagle” is one of Dan Gurney’s most iconic IndyCars— Jerry Grant qualified the car in 30th, and finished in 20th for the 1967 Indianapolis 500. Skip Barber calls it “one of the most beautiful racecars I’ve ever seen.”  You can see it at the Lime Rock HF 43.

Lotus Legacy Lives On At The TOYO TIRES Turn of the Century World Challenge At HF43 At Lime Rock

Lotus EspritAfter turning heads at Lime Rock HF42, the 1992 Lotus Esprit X180R is back for Historic Festival 43. Presented and driven by David Nagler, this factory-built race car is one of just five produced for competition in the SCCA World Challenge and IMSA Bridgestone Supercar Championship.

Chassis Type 105/106 was a front-runner from the start, campaigned by Doc Bundy, Scott Lagasse, and even Paul Newman, whose deep ties to Lime Rock make this car’s return all the more special. It helped deliver Lotus the 1992 IMSA Manufacturer’s Championship.
