Peter Miles Named Grand Marshal for HSR Daytona Classic 24 Hour Presented by Mission Foods

DAYTONA BEACH, Florida (July 10, 2026) – Peter Miles, son of the late sports car racing ace Ken Miles, has been named Grand Marshal for the 12th running of the Historic SportsCar Racing (HSR) Classic Daytona 24 Hour Presented by Mission Foods, set to run November 11 – 15, 2026, at Daytona International Speedway (DIS).

Fittingly, Ford is the featured marque for the five-day Daytona meeting that celebrates multiple generations and levels of sports car racing. Not only is Ford one of the most prevalent manufacturers in motorsports from grassroots to the very top level, Ken Miles was closely associated with the iconic automaker as the key development driver for Carroll Shelby and Shelby American. He is credited with spearheading Ford’s historic overall victory in the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans, as portrayed in the award-winning 2019 motion picture Ford vs. Ferrari that starred Christian Bale as Miles.

Andrew Jordan Completes Sunday Sweep to Claim Overall Honors in The Inaugural HSR NASCAR Classic Presented by Goodyear at The Le Mans Classic Legend

LE MANS, France (July 5, 2026) – Champion British driver Andrew Jordan capped off a stellar Sunday with a sweep of both HSR NASCAR Classic presented by Goodyear at the Le Mans Classic Legend races to take the inaugural overall victory in the blockbuster event that was a tribute to NASCAR’s first appearance in the 24 Hours of Le Mans 50 years ago. Driving his ex-Michael Waltrip Racing 2011 No. 15 Toyota Camry, Jordan handily won both Sunday sprints after a narrow loss in Saturday’s first race to take the top step of the podium at Circuit de la Sarthe on Sunday afternoon.

JC France Wins Inaugural HSR NASCAR Classic Presented by Goodyear at The Le Mans Classic Legend Opening Race

LE MANS, France (July 4, 2026) – JC France delivered and unexpected but fitting victory in Saturday’s opening race of the HSR NASCAR Classic Presented by Goodyear at the Le Mans Classic Legend in his Garage 56 adorned 2014 No. 24 Chevrolet Camaro. France stayed in the lead pack throughout the sprint race and moved to the front with less than two laps to go when the early race leaders and other contenders ran out of fuel or otherwise encountered issues knocking them from contention.

Fittingly, France’s victory carried added significance as the debut of HSR NASCAR Classic at Le Mans is in part a tribute to the 50th anniversary of NASCAR’s first appearance at Circuit de la Sarthe 50 years ago. Spearheaded by France’s grandfather, Bill France Sr., a pair of NASCAR stock cars stole the show as guest entries in the 1976 24 Hours of Le Mans. Fifty years later, another member of NASCAR’s founding family took the victory, bringing the story full circle in a truly golden moment.

A full field of historic stock cars from the last seven decades brings the “Thunder of America” back to the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe in the heart of France a half a century after NASCAR stock cars first appeared in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The 36-car entry list features a compelling mix of both iconic machinery and celebrated drivers, and among the standouts is 2026 NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee and 2004 Cup Series champion Kurt Busch.

Registration for Competitors is open on MotorsportsReg. Please submit your entry, and we’ll review it promptly. You’ll receive an official acceptance by email once approved, and your credit card will not be charged until that point. LAKEVILLE, Connecticut (12 March 2026) – Lime Rock Park will welcome Tommy Kendall, Dorsey Schroeder and Mike Joy to Historic Festival 44 during Labor Day weekend, September 3–7, as the Connecticut circuit celebrates the return of Historic Trans Am racing to its 1.5-mile course.

The legendary trio, whose names are synonymous with Trans Am racing and have all had a wide-ranging impact on the sport, will appear throughout the weekend meeting fans, participating in autograph sessions and celebrating the era of American V8 road racing that defined the Trans Am series through the 1990s.

Lime Rock Park – ARCA at the 2026 Historic Festival

Dear Historic Festival Competitors, Collectors, and Friends of Lime Rock Park,

As we look ahead to Historic Festival 44, we are proud to extend a special invitation—one Skip Barber has been eager to make—to owners and caretakers of Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) cars.

Our featured marque for HF44 is Alfa Romeo, and it is fitting that this story begins there. The final ARCA race, run in 1940, was won by Frank Griswold driving an Alfa Romeo Grand Prix car. Eight years later, as American road racing re-emerged after World War II, it was Griswold once again—this time winning the inaugural SCCA-sanctioned Watkins Glen Grand Prix in 1948 in a different pre-war Alfa Romeo, an 8C 2900. Few moments illustrate the continuity of American sports car racing more clearly.
