Wiscasset Speedway opened up their gates on Saturday for one of their biggest race events of the year: the doubleheader Boss Hogg 150 weekend.
Saturday’s program began before any cars hit the track as Team Wiscasset hosted their annual “Racin’ Cancer” walk/bike, benefiting the Dean Snell Cancer Foundation. Dozens of people participated, fundraising for the local organization that helps Maine cancer patients in need.
Labor Day weekend is here and that can only mean one thing: It’s time for the Boss Hogg 150 at Wiscasset Speedway!
The annual 150-lap event made its debut in 1991, honoring former track owner and Wiscasset Speedway/Maine Motorsports Hall of Fame member Dave St. Clair.
With big race events happening this past weekend across the state, Wiscasset Speedway was still able to draw in a large crowd of both fans and drivers on Saturday for another action-packed Group 1 race program.
Labor Day weekend is quickly approaching and that can only mean one thing: The Boss Hogg 150 is making its return to Wiscasset Speedway! The annual event, which made its debut back in 1991, is the biggest Super Late Model race of the season at the famed track. Once again, this year’s event is presented by Bath Iron Works/General Dynamics and will feature not one, but two action-packed days of racing on both Saturday, September 2nd and Sunday, September 3rd.
Wiscasset Speedway kicked off the 2021 racing season in the State of Maine on Saturday afternoon, April 24th. A large contingency of eager racers and smiling fans converged on Maine’s fastest track for it’s first April opening day since 2019. (more…)
One of New England’s most storied short tracks will be receiving national exposure this coming racing season. Speed51.TV and Wiscasset Speedway have formed a partnership that will result in select events being broadcast from “Maine’s Fastest Oval” during the 2021 campaign.
Speed51.TV is scheduled to broadcast the track’s signature events — the Coastal 200 and Boss Hogg 150 — as well as visits from touring series such as the Modified Racing Series, 350 SMAC Supermodifieds and NEMA Midgets. (more…)
