SMART Modified Tour, NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Wins in North Carolina

Justin Bonsignore found himself in North Wilkesboro Speedway Victory Lane twice this weekend. The driver of the No. 51 Phoenix Communications machine for Kenneth Massa Motorsports swept the weekend of Modified competition at the historic track – winning both the SMART Modified Tour season-finale 99 on Saturday and the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Brushy Mountain Powersports 150 on Sunday. Sunoco World Series Sunday Up Next For Justin Bonsignore

Three-time NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion Justin Bonsignore heads back to a familiar place this Sunday afternoon. Bonsignore and the Kenneth Massa Motorsports team will return to Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park to compete in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Sunoco World Series 150. With just three races remaining in the Tour season, Bonsignore sits second, just 11 points out of the lead in the title chase.

Thompson has been one of Bonsignore’s best tracks in his career. Hosting 13 of his 42 career wins, Bonsignore’s last Thompson win came in this event last year. In two starts at Thompson so far in 2024, Bonsignore has finished fourth and second.
