POMONA, Calif. – Bob Tasca III of Hope, RI and the Motorcraft/Quick Lane Funny Car Team won the Auto Club NHRA Finals this evening (Nov. 14). As a result, Tasca vaulted into third place in the final 2021 NHRA Nitro Funny Car standings, setting a personal best. Thompson, CT — North Dartmouth, MA’s Derek Gluchacki scored one for the locals by winning the American-Canadian Tour (ACT) Sunoco World Series 75 presented by Twisted Tea at Connecticut’s Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park on Saturday, October 9. The 19-year-old got the lead early and was never seriously challenged en route to his first career ACT victory as part of Twisted Tea Saturday for the 59th Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing. WINCHESTER, N.H. — Strategy was the name of the game in the fourth round of the Tri Track Open Modified Series season at Monadnock Speedway on Saturday, August 14. While Chase Dowling started his day at the back of his qualifying heat and the 100-lap feature, the end of the 100-lap special sponsored by Wonder Casino saw him park the No. 9 Start Finish Motorsports machine in Victory Lane.
