Barre, VT — Terry Pearce and Paige Whittemore brought the rk Miles Street Stocks out of the pit area to lead Cody Chevrolet-Cadillac Night at Thunder Road with their 25-lap main event. The first caution on lap 4 spelled trouble for title hopeful Trevor Jaques while Pearce maintained the lead on the restart over Whittemore and Jamie Davis as title hopefuls Ryan Foster, Dean Switser and Josh Lovely began to breathe down their backs! Through it all, Terry Pearce would earn his second win of the season in style, dominating the Cody Chevrolet-Cadillac trophy dash with Paige Whittemore and Jamie Davis joining him in victory lane. OWSSO, Mich.: Over the last month, life has been good for Kyle Steckly and the Rette Jones Racing team.
In the ASA STARS National Tour’s most recent race at Anderson (Ind.) Speedway, the pair of Steckly and Rette Jones Racing were able to take a mediocre rookie season and explode with a bombshell victory in the Redbud 400 at Anderson (Ind.) Speedway.
Kevin Gambacorta and Paul Varricchio, Jr. Lead Late Model Division Into Aug. 23 Double Header at Stafford Speedway
(Stafford Springs, CT)—With Stafford’s Late Model division set to partake in a double header this Friday, August 23rd, the race for the championship is coming into focus. Kevin Gambacorta, the driver of the #23 Lavigne Law Chevrolet and Paul Varricchio, Jr., driver of the #39 Tavern on the Trax Chevrolet, kicked off the 2024 season racing one another for the season opening NAPA Spring Sizzler® victory and they are still the two drivers to beat in the race for the championship. Both Gambacorta and Varricchio opened the season with strong results, Gambacorta recording 6 consecutive podium finishes and 2 wins, and Varricchio recording 3 podium finishes, including his first career victory on May 31st, and they have continued to run well all season long as the only 2 drivers to record top-10 finishes in each of the first 11 races.

Sad News – Scott Bloomquist
Dirt track legend Scott Bloomquist was killed in a plane crash near his home in Mooresburg, Tennessee on Friday morning. The Rogersville Review reported the news shortly after 8:30 a.m., indicating that local authorities confirmed that Bloomquist was “involved in a small aircraft crash.” Bloomquist was 60 years old.
