Sullivan swept a pair of 40-lap feature events during the 2023 season and he is the defending champion of the Monaco Ford Double Down. With Monaco Ford sponsoring this Friday night’s 40-lap feature event as well as sponsoring his #46 car, Sullivan has some extra motivation to take home yet another extra distance checkered flag.

After peeking to the inside, Emerling finally made the turn-three power-move to lead lap 18 before Joey Mucciacciaro’s hard lick with the third turn wall. With the choose-cone in play, Jake Johnson nabbed the lead on the ensuing restart underneath Emerling as Ron Silk entered the top three picture. Hard contact between Silk and Emerling in turn four on lap 40 saw both right their open-wheeled machines but it was Silk gaining the on-track advantage to begin knocking down Johnson’s seven-car-length lead.
