The Modified Racing Series made its return to Wiscasset Speedway on Saturday, July 9th for an action-packed 75 lap main event. The touring series, founded in 2004, runs a limited 7 race schedule and features some of the most talented Modified drivers in the Northeast. The drivers in Saturday’s lineup included Andy Shaw, Matt Swanson, Donnie Lashua and Derek Robie, among others.
BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – Keith Brightbill of Mooresville, N.C. returned to his hometown area for a visit on Saturday night and drove his brother Brad’s car to victory, over a stellar field of racers, taking top honors in the 52nd annual Firecracker 40 T.P. SEEKONK, Mass. – Matt “Big Money” Hirschman lived up to his name once again on Wednesday night, June 29, capturing the top $10,000 prize and winning his fifth Open Wheel Wednesday title at Seekonk Speedway in Massachusetts. Competing in the third round of the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series season, Hirschman passed Woody Pitkat for the lead on lap 31 and never looked back, rolling to his second Tri-Track win of the season in three series events.

MILFORD, Conn. – Doug Coby will return to the seat of the No. 10 Mayhew Tools Modified this Wednesday night, June 29, for a mid-week show in Massachusetts. The six-time NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion will compete with the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series in the $10,000 to win Open Wheel Wednesday at Seekonk Speedway, where he is a three-time winner.
