In just five years the Islip 300 quickly has become a signature Tour Type Modified event paying the winner $7,000 from a total purse of $32,650. JB Fortin of Holtsville the 2021 Islip 300 victor announced this week he’ll defend his race win.

Tommy Baldwin Racing locked up their third championship of the season on Saturday night at Motor Mile Speedway, as Caleb Heady and the team celebrated a title on the SMART Modified Tour. Although a mechanical failure sidelined the No. 7NY on lap 10 of the race, the team was enough points ahead due to a consistent season down south to still lock up the title.
