Canadian Teenager Raphael Lessard set for Truck Series Debut at Martinsville
17-Year-Old Driver Graduates from Super Late Model Program to Three-Race NGOTS Schedule
 
MOORESVILLE, N.C. (Feb. 15, 2019)– Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM) announced today that 17-year-old Canadian driver Raphael Lessard will pilot the team’s No. 46 Tundra in three NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series (NGOTS) events this season. Lessard will make his Truck Series debut March 23 at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway and also compete in the organization’s fourth entry at Dover (Del.) International Speedway and Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway.

The 28-year-old Connecticut native won “The Great American Race” in 2015, giving Roger Penske his second victory in the event. The last time a MENCS champion went on to win the DAYTONA 500 the following year was Dale Jarrett in 2000.
