Thompson, CT — With the weather conditions cooperating one week later than expected, the 49th Icebreaker Weekend at Thompson Speedway successfully opened the 2023 New England racing season with plenty of heart-pounding thrills to set up the summer to come at the Big-T. The Thompson Outlaw Open Modified Icebreaker 125 came down to a stunning green-white-checker in one of the most spectacular open wheeled races in recent memory while winners in the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Models and the Thompson local divisions proved themselves as the class of the field.

Weather Pushes Back Thompson Icebreaker Weekend to April 7th and 8th
Thompson, CT — After this weekend’s poor forecast has continued to remain gloomy, American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Pro All Stars Series (PASS) officials have made the difficult decision to postpone the 49th Icebreaker Weekend at Thompson Speedway one week. Now set for Friday April 7th and Saturday April 8th, the revamped schedule will continue the same divisions as previously announced, simply postponed one week due to the extremely wet forecast expected to hit the northeast corner of Connecticut this weekend.
Gluchacki and Shaw Pick Up 2023 Where They Left 2022 at Hickory Motor Speedway
Hickory, NC — Although rain dampened the Easter Bunny Weekend of Speed on Friday, Pro All Stars Series (PASS) officials created a new plan for an epic Saturday doubleheader that saw both the St. Patrick’s Day and Easter Bunny programs go off without a hitch for the American-Canadian Tour. Teams saw both highs and lows in one of the busiest days on record, several drivers earning much-needed redemption to cap off the busy Saturday schedule and started their 2023 season on solid ground.

Hickory, NC — It was announced today in Charlotte, North Carolina that American-Canadian Tour and Thompson Speedway standout Derek Gluchacki has made the list of semi-finalists for the highly acclaimed Kulwicki Driver Development Program (KDDP). The program has partnered with racers from across North America the past seven seasons to offer a stipend of sponsorship money as well as working with these racers to provide assistance with publicity, marketing, sponsorship development and industry networking throughout the season.

Among these changes, perhaps the most thrilling is the movement of the season-ending 350 SMAC Supernationals to Thompson Speedway for the 61st Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing on Saturday, October 7th.
