Stafford SK Light Graduates Top Premier SK Modified® Division

(Stafford Springs, CT)—When Stafford Speedway created the SK Light division prior to the start of the 2006 season, the intent of the division was to provide not only a less expensive open wheel alternative to the track’s premier SK Modified® division, but to serve as a stepping stone to the premier division. Fast forward 18 years and one look at the 2024 SK Modified® standings will show that the stepping stone vision has been realized and then some. The top-5 drivers in the 2024 standings are all SK Light graduates, and going even further, 8 of the top-10 drivers in the standings got their open wheel starts in the SK Light division.

Stafford Speedway Releases 24 Event 2024 Racing Schedule

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway officials have put the finishing touches on their 2024 racing schedule. 24 events make up the calendar from late April to late September, kicking off with the NAPA Auto Parts Spring Sizzler April 27th & 28th and wrapping up at the NAPA Auto Parts Fall September 28th.

Ronnie Williams Pockets $5,000 in Outlaw Open Modified Dash For Cash at Thompson

Thompson, CT — Ronnie Williams used a late caution to win the Icebreaker 125 for the Outlaw Open Modified Series at Thompson Speedway back in April. Wednesday night, Williams didn’t need a late caution – he did it in dominating fashion. Williams took the lead early and rolled to the win after holding off Chris Pasteryak and on a flurry of late restarts. The victory came in the first of the summer Dash For Cash 50-lap, $5,000 to win races for the Outlaw Open Modifieds.

SK Lights Receive Exciting Format Changes Ahead of Twisted Tea Fireworks Spectacular on Wednesday, June 21st

Barre, VT and Naples, ME — American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Pro All Stars Series Officials announced today a new format for the SK Light Modifieds at Thompson Speedway throughout the rest of the 2023 season. The purse for the open-wheeled division has been increased to $750-to-win each event, up from the previously $350-to-win regular breakdown, with the number of laps also increasing to now 30 lap features. Sullivan Wins SK Light Double Down at Stafford; Kopcik, Gray, Clement, & Hydar Also Score Feature Wins

Brian Sullivan Enjoying Return to SK Light Competition at Stafford

(Stafford Springs, CT)—After winning the SK Light championship in 2020 at Stafford Speedway and nearly going back to back in 2021, Brian Sullivan moved into the SK Modified® division for the 2022 season. Sullivan ran a partial schedule in 2022 thanks partly to a blown engine that left him with a decision to make for the 2023 season.

Maybury Material Handling Renews Stafford Speedway 1st Place Contingency Program Bonus

(Stafford Springs, CT)—For the 8th consecutive season, Maybury Material Handling of East Longmeadow, MA, will be a first place contingency program partner at Stafford Motor Speedway. Maybury will present a bonus of $150 to each SK Modified® winner and a $150 bonus to each SK Light feature winner. With 22 SK Modified® races on the schedule, Maybury will contribute a total of $3,300 to SK Modified® feature winners and $3,150 to SK Light feature winners with 21 SK Light races scheduled.
