Etheridge’s #34 team became the 40th driver to enter the Sizzler®, the first time since 2007 a Spring Sizzler® has seen 40 entries.
Family of Bobby Turner, First Spring Sizzler Pole Winner, Posts $1,085 Front Row Bonus for the 50th Spring Sizzler
(Stafford Springs, CT)—When the grid for the first Spring Sizzler® took formation in 1972, a young kid from Maine lined-up on the pole. That kid was Bobby Turner, a 20-something year old driver who made the trip down from Maine to race against the top drivers in the northeast at the inaugural Spring Sizzler. Over 50 years later the same #85 modified that led the field to green in 1972 will pace the field for the 50th running of the NAPA Spring Sizzler, this time with Bobby’s son Pete behind the wheel in a tribute to his father who passed away in March of 2021.

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway has launched a new program that allows race fans to sponsor a lap at the 50th running of the NAPA Auto Parts Spring Sizzler®. All lap sponsors will receive a limited-edition Spring Sizzler® 50th Anniversary poster featuring every winner in the history of the Spring Sizzler®. The poster, a throwback to the Spring Sizzler® poster of the early 1990’s, will only be available to lap sponsors.
50th NAPA Spring Sizzler® Set to Pay $15,000 to Win
(Stafford Springs, CT)— The historic 50th running of the NAPA Auto Parts Spring Sizzler® is set to take place at Stafford Speedway April 23 & 24, 2022 featuring the Open Modifieds. Stafford Speedway officials have announced over $130,000 in prize money including $15,000 to win the 50th Spring Sizzler® and $3,500 to win each of the NAPA Duel qualifying events.
ACT Postpones Series and Track Banquets Until Spring of 2022
Waterbury, VT — The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) has officially postponed the season-ending banquets for the series and its sanctioned tracks until the spring of 2022.
