Michael Christopher, Jr. Wins CBYD Senator’s Cup; Varricchio, Hovey, Theriault, & Plemons Also Score Feature Wins at Stafford Speedway

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted round 2 of the Tick Mike Triple Crown for its SK Modified® division with the 50-lap Call Before You Dig Senator’s Cup on Friday, June 20^th. The race served as the second of three legs of the TickMike.com Triple Crown and Michael Christopher, Jr. was the winner for the second consecutive week. Christopher’s victory was also his third consecutive victory in the CBYD Senator’s Cup 50-lap feature event. Other feature winners on the night were Paul Varricchio, Jr. in the Late Model feature, Nickolas Hovey in the SK Light feature, Kyle Theriault in the Limited Late Model feature, and Aaron Plemons in the Street Stock feature. Former NASCAR Driver Austin Theriault to Face Jared Golden in Maine’s 2nd District

Former NASCAR driver Austin Theriault won the Republican nomination to challenge Democratic U.S. Rep. Jared Golden in Maine’s closely watched 2nd Congressional District.

The Associated Press called the race for Theriault about an hour after the polls closed in Maine. Early returns showed the 30-year-old Fort Kent, ME native with a large lead over his primary opponent, Mike Soboleski of Phillips.

Rufrano, Varricchio, Hovey, Theriault, & Trott Score AZ Roofing Kids Night Feature Wins at Stafford Speedway

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted AZ Roofing Kids Night on Friday, May 31st, the first of three kids nights scheduled for the 2024 season. It was a night of first-time 2024 winners with Marcello Rufrano taking the SK Modified® feature, Paul Varricchio, Jr. the Late Model feature, Nickolas Hovey the SK Light feature, Kyle Theriault the Limited Late Model feature, and Tyler Trott the Street Stock feature. Austin Theriault Is Seeking His 1st Oxford 250 Win

Theriault Is Mentoring A Teenage Racing Phenom With Maine Roots

With his stock car racing career on hold, Fort Kent’s Austin Theriault has been busy serving as a driving consultant, and one of his proteges has Maine ties.

Even though he has been racing for just one year, 13-year-old Carson Brown has already racked up a bunch of wins in his Legends car, including the Young Lions division national championship dirt track race at the Brushcreek Motorsports Complex in Peebles, Ohio. (more…)
