Connie Partridge and Tom Gatz of Riverhead Raceway recently announced after two years of not being able to host their annual banquet during the Covid-19 pandemic the Champions Award Banquet will return Friday January 6th at Giorgio’s Baiting Hollow. The affair honors track champions, top five drivers from championship standings, and Rookie of the Year drivers from the 2022 NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series at the historic quarter mile oval.

In what is one of the longest continuous marketing partnerships in short track racing across the country Riverhead Raceway management announced Saturday during the track’s second practice day that Buzz Chew Auto Group would return for the 2021 NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series. Riverhead Raceway Announces Four Race Crown Jewel Nascar Modified Series Dates, Champion To Be Awarded Ted Christopher Cup
Entering the 2020 NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Series season at Riverhead Raceway one of the most anticipated aspects of the original race schedule put forth by track management was the announcement of a four race Crown Jewel Series for the NASCAR Modifieds. Track Talk – New York’s Riverhead Raceway Announces 2021 Islip 300 for November 13, 2021
Riverhead Raceway like many short tracks in 2020 were forced into making numerous schedule changes due to the Covid 19 worldwide pandemic including a late start to the race season, canceling two NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour events and moving the Islip 300 into mid-November. The only silver lining in ’20 shined brightly when the Islip 300 turned out to be an ultra-successful event on and off the track with a stellar field of 29 cars competing in the race. Thursday Eddie & Connie Partridge and Tom Gatz announced with the approval of the Town of Riverhead they will present the 5th annual Islip 300 on Saturday November 13th, 2021. (more…)
