WHITINSVILLE, Mass. — After a long offseason, Stan Mertz Racing will open the 2021 season on Saturday, May 1, at Monadnock Speedway in New Hampshire. With driver Woody Pitkat at the controls, the team is set to compete in the opener of the Tri Track Open Modified Series season. MARTINSVILLE, Va. — Justin Bonsignore opened the 2021 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour season and his quest for a third series championship with a third-place finish at Martinsville Speedway on Thursday night, April 8. The driver of the No. 51 Coastal-Fiber, Kenneth Massa Motorsports machine was forced to start at the tail of the 35-car field after originally qualifying seventh, as the team found a potential leak and were forced to take a deeper look prior to the green. SEEKONK, Mass. — After a few years of traveling competing with his Modified, veteran racer Chris Pasteryak is primed to return home to full-time racing with the Tri Track Open Modified Series presented by All Phases Renovations this season. The Lisbon, Connecticut, driver will compete in his family-owned No. 75, returning in hopes of winning and contending for the championship.
Pasteryak’s season will also include the six Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park Outlaw Open Modified Series events and the four Stafford Motor Speedway Open Modified Series races — making up a busy schedule. (more…)
