Williamson, N.Y. (June 11, 2023) – Chuck Hossfeld of Ransomville, N.Y., returned to victory lane this past Friday in the 68th Annual Opener at Spencer Speedway in Williamson, N.Y.
Hossfeld jumped out to an early lead and had to fend off his closest challenge from Mike Leaty of Williamson, N.Y., before out distancing Zane Zeiner of Bath, Pa., for the victory.
When one grows up an aspiring race car driver on Long Island the ultimate goal is to win a NASCAR Modified event at Riverhead Raceway. Saturday night Chris Rogers of Patchogue attained that goal when he won the 50-lap Advanced Auto Parts Night event becoming the fifth Modified winner in five races to date in 2023. Barre, VT — Although practice was plagued by raindrops that also pushed back the start time of Friday’s festivities, drivers and officials pushed and completed the Vermont Career Technical Centers and Vermont Agency of Education Night with flying colors at Thunder Road. The annual Friday Night Special was filled with plenty of spills and thrills and the sights and sounds of the ultra-fast New England Supermodified Series was also a stellar sight to behold. (more…)
South Amherst, Ohio – (June 5, 2023) – Matt Hirschman of Northampton, Pa., scored his first victory in Race of Champions Modified Series competition this past Saturday night at Lorain Raceway Park in South Amherst, Ohio in the “Mr. Modified 75”, the Series first visit to the track. In Hirschman’s career, it was the 35th different track for him to record a win at and the 11th different state where he’s visited victory lane.
Thousands of fans rolled into Wiscasset Speedway on Sunday for the biggest Late Model race of the year, the Coastal 200. The $10,000 to win race, presented by Coldbrook Trailers and GT Overhead Doors, is one of the marquee events of the race season and always draws some of the biggest names in the Northeast. This year was no different as Eddie MacDonald, Mike Hopkins and 3-time Coastal 200 winner Ben Ashline were among those in the field.

BECHTELSVILLE, PA (May 28, 2023) – A pair of first-time NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill winners kicked off the 2023 series of special summer events. Brian Hirthler picked up his first ever Modified win in the Balls to the Wall 50 presented by Pioneer Pole Buildings as Logan Watt took the win in the 602 Sportsman main event Sunday night at Grandview Speedway. CHARLOTTE, N.C., May 23, 2023 – The Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America today announced it raised more than $1.7 million after completing its 27th Anniversary Ride, which took place April 29 – May 5, 2023. Funds raised directly benefit Victory Junction – a camp in Randleman, North Carolina servicing children with chronic medical illnesses. The Ride’s donation supports summer camperships, building projects and maintenance programs – including upkeep of the Kyle Petty Charity Ride Water Park.
