Jencik & Lafayette Score Casella Waste Open 80 Feature Wins at Stafford Speedway; Rain Postpones Casella Open 80 to June 14th

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted the Casella Waste Open 80 on Friday, June 7th. Connor Jencik was a first-time Stafford feature winner in the Limited Late Model feature and Jason Lafayette notched his first Street Stock feature victory of the 2024 season before rain postponed the remainder of the program. The Casella Waste Open 80 will be resumed from lap-6 next Friday night, June 14^th and all rain checks from tonight’s Casella Waste 80 program will be honored. (more…)

Carson Loftin Set For Stafford Debut in June 7 Casella Waste Open 80

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway welcomes open modified competition back to the track this Friday night, June 7 with the Casella Waste Open 80. Among the drivers looking to win the Casella Waste Open 80 will be 16-year-old modified star Carson Loftin. After winning SMART Rookie of the Year honors last season, Loftin has taken the SMART Tour by storm this season, winning the first two races of the season and notching 5 wins through the first 7 races to lead the SMART standings.

Casella Waste Returns to Stafford Speedway Family of Sponsors in 2024

Eric Goodale Wins Casella Waste Open 80 At Stafford Speedway

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Open Modified cars returned to Stafford Motor Speedway for their third of five visits of the 2023 season on Friday, June 16th for the Casella Waste Open 80. Eric Goodale used a fast pit stop under a caution flag period to vault himself towards the front at the midway point of the Casella Waste Open 80 and he took control of the race in the second half to take the checkered flag. One of Talman’s second place efforts came during the Sept. 23 Casella Employee Night and his performance opened the door for Casella Waste and Mark DiMaruo, Sr. to step up to a full-time sponsorship role for the 2023 season.

(Stafford Springs, CT)—For the 2023 season at Stafford Speedway, Casella Waste Systems will step up their sponsorship by becoming the official sponsor of the June 16 Casella Waste Open Modified 80. Casella will also return to the track as an SK Modified® contingency sponsor and they will supply a weekly $125 bonus for each second place feature finisher.
