Racers, crew members, and families gathered at the track for a celebration of 2020 while also looking forward to the 2021 season opener on May 8.
Hebert Finally Tastes NHMS Victory at Northeast Classic
Loudon, NH — Reigning American-Canadian Tour (ACT) champion Jimmy Hebert of Williamstown, VT finally scored a long-awaited victory at Loudon’s New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) on Sunday, April 18 in the inaugural Northeast Classic. Scott Tapley Named Thunder Road Speedbowl Race Director
Barre, VT — Thunder Road officials announced today that Scott Tapley has been appointed the track’s Race Director for the 2021 season. The respected motorsports official will oversee the action for all of Thunder Road’s local racing divisions. Wayne Helliwell Sweeps Hickory Weekend at ACT Easter Bunny 125
Hickory, NC — Dover, NH’s Wayne Helliwell Jr. pulled a clean sweep of the first American-Canadian Tour (ACT) trip to North Carolina’s Hickory Motor Speedway by winning the Easter Bunny 125 on Saturday, April 3. Helliwell took the lead from New Salem, MA’s Tom Carey III in lapped traffic on the 44th circuit and was unstoppable down the stretch to double up after his victory in the Hickory 125 the night before. Wayne Helliwell Becomes First to Stand in ACT Victory Lane at Hickory
Hickory, NC — Dover, NH’s Wayne Helliwell Jr. added another accomplishment to his long racing résumé by winning the American-Canadian Tour (ACT) Hickory 125 on Friday, April 2. The three-time ACT champion led all but two laps and survived multiple challenges from Herman, ME’s Mike Hopkins to win the series’ first event at North Carolina’s Hickory Motor Speedway. (more…)
ACT Unveils Early-Entry List for Hickory Motor Speedway Doubleheader
Waterbury, VT — The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) has revealed the early-entry list for the Hickory 125 and Easter Bunny 125 on Friday, April 2 and Saturday, April 3.
