How did drivers with New England connections do at Dover?

In Saturday’s Xfinity race at Dover Austin Cindric was the winner while Brett Moffitt came home in 13th place in the Chris Our entry. Our is a building contractor on Cape Cod and lives in Harwich, MA.

In Sunday’s Cup race at Dover Alex Bowman and his race car one of the top contenders all afternoon.  Another driver who as in the hunt all afternoon was Middletown, CT’s Joey Logano.  Logano is a consistent top five driver in the NASCAR Cup division.  He’s also a former champion in the Cup Series.  Berlin, CT’s Ryan Preece came in 18th, Corey LaJoie ended the day in 26th place.  Corey is the son of two-time Xfinity series champion Randy Lajoie who grew up in the Norwalk, CT serving his apprenticeship in the Modified and Late Model race cars.  Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT came in 28th place.
The NASCAR Circus will be in action at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, TX next weekend.  It’s 11-turn road course and will be a real challenge for all of the drivers as it’s the first time NASCAR has competed there.  There will be a rare 50-minute practice session giving all the competitors some seat time on that new venue.
