With the exception of Ty Gibbs, everybody in the field for the General Tire 150 at Charlotte Motor Speedway is hoping Saturday night’s race does not play out in a manner similar to the last time the ARCA Menards Series raced on a 1.5-mile tri-oval.
Earlier this month, Gibbs led every lap at Kansas Speedway. On top of that, he recorded the best lap in an ARCA Menards test session at Charlotte on May 11.
So yes, the 18-year-old driver who leads the ARCA Menards Series with three wins in 2021 will be among the favorites to emerge victorious again at Charlotte. And in this case, a win in the ARCA Menards Series could mark his second trip to Victory Lane in one day.
