Brescia, Italy – Nico Muller, the experienced Swiss driver, held the first shake down of the brand new Audi RS 3 LMS gen II run by ELITE Motorsport. The test was hosted by the Cremona Circuit.
Just arrived in the Brescia-located workshop, the first of the three Audi TCR that Elite Motorsport will field in the next TCR Italy championship has already hit the track with a top driver as Nico Muller. Despite a so important palmares, Muller never had the chance to drive a TCR car in his career, an opportunity arrived thanks to the first shake down of the RS 3 LMS gen II fielded by Elite Motorsport: “It’s very fun to drive! A real race car, with a lot of setup possibilities in order to make it comfortable for every driving style. It excites you, it’s very quick without getting in trouble the less experienced drivers. I had the chance to drive many racing cars in my career, but I still lacked a TCR car. Thanks to Elite Motorsport I was able to satisfy this wish, discovering a very interesting car and a professional team. The right attitude if you want to achieve important goals. I wish all the best to these guys for their first season in the great Audi Sport racing family. I’m confident they will be protagonist.”
Very satisfied about the shake down the Elite Motorsport Team Principal Nicola Novaglio: “For us it’s an honor that Nico did the first shake down of our car. He has an immense experience from which we can only take advantage of. We did a great job together and we found the right feeling from the beginning. We are aware about where we are now with this new challenge and we don’t want to leave anything to chance and for this, as soon as we received our first car, we wanted to put the wheels on track. We want to be ready at the best for next season and today we collected a lot of data on which we’ll work on in the next months.“
